Poodle Powder Room

I love Poodles!

Poodle skirts, poodle hair, poodle figurines; oh how I adore the kitsch of it all!

So when Husband and I moved into a home with a half-bath, I knew just what I wanted to do. I would finally have the pink powder room of my dreams!!

Hehe!!

It's a work in progress, but I thought I'd share what I've done so far...

I painted the walls peachy pink, and placed my very first pink spaghetti poodle on a vintage pink shelf.

My friend Vikki, gave me the sweet little poodle on the left. My friend Sal gave me the one on the right.

Amazingly, Sal randomly found and purchased the matching piece to the poodle Vikki gave me, without any knowledge of it. Love it!!!

I found these chalkware poodles on Etsy, and then my friend/hair-stylist extraordinaire, gave me the  vintage poodle tissue box. Isn't it darling??

Aren't friends the best?? Love you Poodles!

Look at this retro Barbie and her poodle! They're a perfect pair!!

Right now, one wall has nothing on it, and I'm not sure what to do with it. More chalkware?

I can't wait to try this idea I found on Pinterest!

Soon my pink poodle powder room will be complete! Any advice for me Poodles?

  2. Cute! Oh I hope you try that stencil!

I once bought some of those vintage black poodle decals and gave them to another poodle friend. I'll keep an eye open for poodle things for you!

My only advice is to have fun! ♥

    1. I have the gold paint, but I need to have my sister cut out the stencil for me, because I'm terrible at that! I'd end up with half a star! ;)
I love that my husband is letting me do this to the GUEST bath, and even helped paint the glowing pink! It's been fun working on it together.

  5. This plethora of pretty poodles is positively phenomenal! :) (Yes, I was intentionally aiming for words that started with the letter "P", but the statement rings true completely). They're one of my all-time favourite dogs - be it in animal or kitsch form, too, and this darling post put the biggest smile on my face. :)

*PS* Thank you very very much for your blog comments today, honey. I was really flattered when you said that you thought I was taller. Nahhhh, just a wee little (barely) 5'2" (with stubby legs and a fairly short waist to boot). I have three pairs of pants so far from Freddies and have hemmed them all no problem. If you're a similar height, I'd suspect that doing the same would help them work wonderfully for you, too, dear gal. ♥

    1. You are still tall to me! ;) I'm 4'10 and 3/4!! (Can't leave off the 3/4!) I am definitely going to have to get myself some Freddies. Thank you so much for your help!
I met the cutest little poodle in Venice named Pepperina. She was adorable!
