Peggy Sue Poodles

A couple of weeks ago I went cruisin'...

...to the Peggy Sue Cruise! A classic car show!!

First car of the day; wow!!
I was a little too excited about this vintage taxi!!
Having never been before, I wasn't sure what to expect; but I had so much fun! Beer and wine tasting, a chili/pasta cook off, and beautiful vintage cars!

There was a vendor selling the most amazing
hand-painted parasols. So even though I
brought my own, I had to buy one. Right Poodles?!
Don't even ask me the make/model of any of these; I have no idea! I am completely illiterate when it comes to cars. They were all simply lovingly restored pieces of history to me!

There was one adorable pink car, but I never quite made it over to where it was parked. I went with Husband and a couple of friends; all of whom are 6 ft and taller! I had to wear wedges so I could hear their conversations!! Wedges meant more standing around, and less making the rounds.

I had to stand next to this cute mint green car!
It matched my dress! HA!
Loving the print on this Hell Bunny dress!
It is perfect for Summer!
This is my stunningly GORGEOUS friend Lulu!
Check out her YouTube channel, mylulu2,

I can't wait to go again next year!

  1. Oh how fun! I've never been to an actual car show but there were some old cars like that at a street fair I went to once. All your pics of in in front of the cars are so cute! I'm glad you showed a close up of your dress because I LOVE it! ♥

    1. It was much more fun than I thought it was going to be. I ran into a lot of old friends, the cars were beautiful, and there was champagne to taste! Any day that includes bubbles, is a good day! I bought the dress last year I think, or maybe the year before- I'm such a hoarder I can't remember!! ;) But I do know I purchased it from an ebay seller out of the UK, Sirens and Starlets. They carry the whole Hell Bunny clothing line.

    1. Awww, you're making me blush! ;) Thank you Dorothy! I love that dress because it is cute and comfortable! Most of the dresses made by Hell Bunny have smocked stretchy panels on the back-sides; which make the dresses fit perfectly! Plus I got to wear my pink petticoat!!

  3. That is the cutest dress ever!! We just had a car show here in my town this past weekend and I totally forgot about it until it was too late! I was so upset with myself. =(

    1. I'm sorry you missed your car show! I usually miss the Peggy Sue Cruise each year because I can never remember the date. This year a friend was pouring for a local winery, so I had reminders galore!
I do love the dress in this post. It's the perfect picnic dress! ;)

  4. Oh honey, you look so, so fabulously summery and beautiful! We just had our town's annual classic car show here this past weekend, and (almost miraculously!) my health actually let me slip out for a few hours to attend. Just as last year (the first time I'd gone), I was the only person in vintage (there weren't even any rockabilly folks there) and the weather was rainy, but it was soooo much fun and I don't mind being the only vintage gal at such events at all (one is better than none!).

    1. Oh I'm so glad you were able to go to your car show! They are fun aren't they? There were other gals dressed vintage at the Peggy Sue Cruise, mainly because they hold an annual Pin-up competition. ;) But it was nice to see so many red lips and reverse rolls!
What is with this rain?? We need the sun back here in CA too!
